FIRST MANAGEMENT CASULTY OF THE SEASON

Kev Hughes and Glantraeth
have parted company
With only five games of the season played Glantraeth have parted company with manager Kevin Hughes. A club spokeman informed the Cymru Alliance League "Following an amicable meeting earlier today (Sunday 7th. September) between Glantraeth chairman Gareth Evans and manager Kev Hughes it was agreed that by mutual consent Kev will step down as manager of Glantraeth with immediate effect. A new appointment will be made as soon as possible".

Only two games out of the eight scheduled escaped the wet weather that fell all day in North and Mid Wales. Bala Town trouncing Guilsfield to openMarc Evans up a three point lead at the top and Holyhead Hotspur move into second place after coming out on top in a five goal thriller against Denbigh Town, three of the goals coming in the last five minutes. Gary Penlington (Bala Town) and Marc Evans (Holyhead , pictured) both adding to their impressive start to the season with two goals apiece
